AI transcripts and AI show notes

From the Smart plan up, Podmaniac can transcribe episodes and write show notes from the transcript. Everything AI produces is a draft for you to review; nothing is published until you apply it.
Transcripts
- Automatic: in Show settings, under AI transcription, tick Transcribe every new episode automatically with AI. Episodes published from then on are transcribed in the background after publishing, and the transcript is added to the feed so Apple Podcasts and other apps show it.
- One episode: in the episode screen, under AI transcription, click Create AI transcript now.
- Your own: upload an SRT or VTT file instead, on any plan.
Transcripts are made from MP3 audio episodes. An hour of audio takes a few minutes. Music only episodes come back as "no speech".
Show notes
Once a transcript is done, click Write show notes with AI in the episode screen. You get title ideas, show notes, chapter markers, quotes and social posts to review. Apply what you like, edit, or discard.
Free hours and cost
Each month, per podcast: Smart 2 hours, Pro 4, Studio 8. Transcription counts the audio minutes; a show notes run counts 10 minutes. Beyond the free hours, AI time is $1 per hour of audio, billed by the minute, and nothing when unused.
Accuracy and privacy
AI makes mistakes, especially with names and accents; read before publishing. Transcripts are produced on our own systems. For show notes the transcript is sent to our AI provider and is not used to train models.
