Using your own domain for the show website
Last updated 14 October 2026
From the Smart plan up, your show's website can live on an address you own. Your feed address stays exactly the same, so nothing changes for podcast apps.
Step 1. Enter the address
In Show settings, under Your own custom domain, enter the address, for example podcast.yourdomain.com (a subdomain works best), and click Connect this address.
Step 2. Add one record at your domain provider
The screen shows the record to add: a CNAME from your address to shows.podmaniac.com. Add it where you manage your domain's DNS (your registrar or DNS host). Copy buttons are next to each value. If your domain is already on the same network as ours, a second TXT record is shown as well.
Step 3. Wait for the certificate
Click Check again, or let Podmaniac check for you every few minutes. Once the record is seen, our server issues the security certificate and the site goes live on your address, usually within an hour. The old podmaniac.com address then sends visitors to the new one.
Removing it
Click remove on the same screen. The website returns to its podmaniac.com address at once.
