Subscriber only episodes and private feeds

Last updated 14 October 2026

On Pro and Studio, an episode can be marked subscribers only. It leaves the public feed and the website, and is delivered through private feeds instead, one per subscriber, with an access code.

Setting it up

  1. In Show settings, under Subscriber feed, switch it on and give the feed a name (for example "Your Show VIP"). You can give it its own cover.
  2. Add a subscriber by email. They receive their personal access code and the steps to add the feed to their podcast app.
  3. In the episode screen, under Who can listen, choose Subscribers only.

What subscribers get

A feed with every published episode, public and subscriber only, without sponsor messages. It works in Apple Podcasts, Overcast, Pocket Casts and the rest. Video episodes can be delivered as video in this feed if you choose.

Managing subscribers

Resend a code, switch a subscriber off and on, or remove them, all from Show settings. A removed code stops working within a minute.

Payment

You add subscribers yourself, so you can run it with any payment arrangement you like (Patreon, a direct invoice, a membership). Paid sign up with a checkout for listeners is on the roadmap.
