Publishing episodes to YouTube automatically
Last updated 14 October 2026
On Pro and Studio, Podmaniac turns each episode into a video (your artwork, titles and a moving waveform in your show's colours) and uploads it to your YouTube channel with the episode's title and notes. Video episodes are uploaded as the video itself.
Connecting your channel
- In Show settings, under YouTube publishing, tick Publish episode videos to YouTube automatically.
- Google opens its consent screen. Choose the account that owns the channel and allow the two permissions: uploading videos, and viewing the channel (used only to show you which channel is connected and the status of the uploads).
- Back in Show settings the channel's name and picture appear. Pick a YouTube category and save.
What gets published
- Episodes published after the switch is on. Older episodes are not uploaded.
- One episode per day per podcast. If you publish more, the rest follow on the next days.
- Videos over 15 minutes need a verified YouTube channel (youtube.com/verify). Videos are capped at 5 hours.
- Subscriber only episodes are never uploaded.
The episode screen shows the status: rendering, uploading, and the YouTube link once it is live. Allow a few minutes after publishing.
Disconnecting
Untick the switch, or click disconnect under the channel name. The permission is revoked at Google and the stored token deleted. Videos already on YouTube stay on your channel. You can also remove the permission at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
